A MUSICAL APPROACH TO CHAMPAGNE CREATION

A collective of Krug Lover Artists with: Inspired by the new Éditions of Krug Grande Cuvée and Krug Rosé, the collective of Krug Lovers has translated their perceptions of each Champagne into two musical compositions: Joseph's Theme: Dream Variation to complement Krug Grande Cuvée 171ème Édition and Joseph's Theme: Freedom Variation to complement Krug Rosé 27ème Édition.

This concept relates to the art of isolating each plot’s wine, like an individual musician, to identify with precision its unique melody. Only then can Krug Cellar Master Julie Cavil, like a conductor, audition them to determine who will together play in harmony.

Every year, her mission is to re-create both the dream of Joseph Krug to craft the most generous expression of Champagne, regardless of climate variation – Krug Grande Cuvée – and the vision of the fifth generation of the Krug family to create a bold and unexpected Krug Rosé composition.

Relying on her intimate knowledge of these individualities, she chooses those who will harmoniously perform together the new Editions of those two cuvées: Krug Grande Cuvée, The Symphony of Champagne by the Full Orchestra, and Krug Rosé, the virtuoso balance between substance and finesse by the Chamber Orchestra.

A COLLECTIVE OF KRUG LOVER ARTISTS

The House of Krug has long understood the influence of sound on taste perception, applying the notion of food pairing to music. In a constant pursuit to enhance the experience of its Champagnes, Krug continues to foster creative encounters, today presenting its first multi-hand music pairings.

Inspired by the new Éditions of Krug Grande Cuvée and Krug Rosé, a collective of five Krug Lovers have translated their tasting sensations of these Champagnes into two collaborative musical compositions to complement each, opening gateways to new sensations.

For the artist collective, the creative musical journey began with a tasting, as Julie Cavil shared with them the stories of Krug Grande Cuvée 171ème Édition and Krug Rosé 27ème Édition united by a common theme: Joseph Krug's philosophy.
